AirWay MultiZone is designed for use with one of the popular Network Music Receivers (NMR) such as AirPort, Sonos Connect or a suitable DLNA* device Wireless control is via whatever app that is designed to work with the selected NMR, with individual zone control via an infra-red remote control or in-wall keypad.
* In 2003 Sony established a collaborative organisation called the Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) with a view to defining interoperability guidelines between IP connected devices. it is now claimed the there are over 18,000 certified DLNA devices in the marketplace. Importantly, DLNA is an open standard and is supported by a number of major companies including Cisco, Dolby, Google, Hewlett Packard, Intel, LG, Microsoft, Nokia, Panasonic & Samsung (note that Apple are conspicuous by their absence, but DLNA software will run on Apple devices).
