Rossini uses the very latest dCS Digital Processing Platform and Ring DAC technology, originally developed for the flagship Vivaldi series. Its single FPGA brings improved signal processing and superior flexibility, effectively making it future-proof.
Rossini Transport upsamples CD data to DSD, DSD/128 or DXD (24-bit 352.8 kS/s) and transmits the data over the Dual AES/EBU interface. SACDs are played in their native DSD format, again over the Dual AES/EBU interface. Native CD data is available from 3 PCM outputs (1x AES3 and 2x SPDIF), as is down-sampled SACD data.

Most engineers in our field, including our own, failed to recognize the critical need for timing perfection to appreciate all that is available on CD. Not until 2009, with the introduction of the PerfectWave Transport, did we begin to understand that there was more to CD than we had ever imagined. The PWT demonstrated that careful extraction of data, coupled with isolation of the output clock, yielded unexpected benefits: more information than we knew existed.

Luxman D-O5U (DO5U) Stereo SACD / CD Music Player

LUXMAN D-05u SACD player is the latest player in LUXMAN’s series of USB-DAC integrated SACD / CD players.
The D-05u is the third model with the built in USB-DAC which uses trickle-down technology from the flagship model D-08u and the mid-range model D-06u released last year. LUXMAN’s proprietary drive mechanism LxDTM with high rigidity is employed. Two of the Texas Instruments 32 bit DAC PCM1795 were adopted by Luxman to allow fully balanced configuration for the output amplifier circuit. USB input accepts up to 192 kHz/ 32bit PCM, and DSD 5.6 MHz.

Following the tremendous success of the 306 line of CD players, Cary Audio Design’s new CD 306 SACD Professional Version includes the latest in SACD, HDCD and CD playback technology. It features a new servo board design with internal components tested to 105° C. The PMD-200 filter has now been replaced with a high quality Burr Brown filter chipset. HDCD decoding is accomplished with the absolute latest software available. Larger, multiple power transformers along with higher current regulators add up to stronger, higher current regulated power supplies. This version continues on with 8 Burr Brown 1792u DAC chips running in a true balanced parallel, extremely low jitter digital to analog converter.
