John Rogers is the founding member of QR Design. Drawing upon over 40 years' experience in sound reproduction, he leads the company's research and development programme.
QR Design, part of the QR Group, was founded in 1989 to introduce new ideas and better solutions to problems relating to sound reproduction and which build upon the many excellent hi-fi products already on the market rather than to replace them. By incorporating in each hi-fi system, however modest, the appropriate products or modifications, the listener may effectively experience the original recorded performance in his listening room, with all the feeling of a 'live' occasion.
Ringmat Developments (founded 1992) is the manufacturing and marketing arm of the QR Group. "Ringmat Developments" has become a household name among music lovers around the world, owing to the success of RINGMAT, its flagship product in the field of LP record sound reproduction.

Ringmat Dampers (Cabinet Vibration Absorption)
|
|
CABINET VIBRATION ABSORPTION - RINGMAT DAMPERS represent a new approach to vibration absorption in loudspeaker and equipment cabinets.
They are used on top of the loudspeakers and equipment; so there is no need to open up anything. All aspects of sound reproduction are noticeably improved, especially the timing of the music.
NOMINAL THICKNESS: 11.5mm
OVERALL DIAMETER: 98mm
Ringmat Dampers are complex layers of materials designed to absorb vibrations in loudspeaker and equipment cabinets. The vibrational energy is then dispersed into the air. The construction of the Dampers is similar to that used for Ringmat Feet, but with important differences as they are used on top rather than underneath speakers and equipment. As with Ringmat Feet, Ringmat Dampers work in much the same way as Ringmats.

Ringmat Spike Stoppers
|
|
RINGMAT SPIKE STOPPERS
Protect your floor and enhance the sound at the same time.
Use Ringmat Spike Stoppers under loudspeakers, systems tables and any other spiked supports under hi-fi and audio-visual equipment.
Ringmat Spike Stoppers can be used on their own and in terms of sound quality will outperform other spike protection support products. There will be a massive improvement in performance if used on wooden and other smooth, flat floors in conjunction with a Statfoot. Nevertheless, for best results, Spike Stoppers should be used on top of Ringmat Feet. Each set of Ringmat Feet already includes a Statfoot.

HOW TO SETUP & FINE TUNE A TURNTABLE
This booklet, first published in 1998, is now in its 2nd Edition. It should be read before attempting to set up (or recheck the set up of) a turntable. Its step-by-step approach, used in conjunction with manufacturers’ instructions, should enable most people to obtain the best sound possible from the alignment of a turntable system. If the reader has any difficulties with sight or dexterity of fingers, perhaps a local hi-fi dealer or a friend would help with some of the tasks.

Ringmat 2mm Rega Tonearm Spacers
|
|
2MM REGA SPACERS
Where a turntable has a Rega tonearm, there is no manual adjustment to the height of the tonearm at the pivot end. In some cases, this may preclude the setting of an accurate stylus rake angle for the cartridge. We can supply 2mm Tonearm Spacers in order to increase the height of the tonearm at the pivot end of the arm. They are placed between the underside of the tonearm pivot and the top of the plinth or tonearm board of the turntable.

Ringmat Platter Inserts
|
|
RINGMAT PLATTER INSERTS
In the case of those turntables having a split platter, such as certain of those from Linn, Roksan, AR, Thorens, etc., the inner platter or hub is usually slightly lower than the outer platter, often by 0.15mm or 0.3mm. So long as the inner underside ring of the Ringmat (Anniversary or XLR) still rests securely on the surface of the inner platter, even though it is very slightly lower than the outer platter, this should give an excellent result. However, should the difference between the inner and outer platters exceed 0.5mm, it will be best to build up the inner platter so that its surface is not more than, say, 0.3mm lower than the surface of the outer platter.

Ringmat Ringcap MK II
|
|
RINGMAT RINGCAP
This unique but simple device absorbs any vibrations which remain in the record while it is being played. It rests on top of the LP during play, occupying an area smaller than the record label. Very light in weight, it comprises a single ring underneath an absorbent, low resonance disc.
Ringcap is now in a MkII version using the new acrylic adhesives adopted for the Anniversary Ringmat.

Ringmat StatMat
|
|
LP STATMAT
LP STATMAT enhances the reproduction of recorded music by preventing low level voltage surges which affect the signal and therefore the sound quality. This is achieved by an arranged pattern of conductive inks which even out the electrostatic charges which build up as the platter and spindle rotate. LP STATMAT is used on top of the RINGMATspacers and under the RINGMAT itself.
