TwinCX Power Regulation
Precision starts with power, and NET3 gives its most sensitive circuits their own dedicated, low-noise power rails.
Designed in collaboration with Dr Sean Jacobs and built around a large, low-impedance toroidal transformer and premium Mundorf capacitors, the TwinCX Power Regulation Module provides two independent, low-noise power rails for the critical OCXO clock and WaveNET components.
The precision OCXO clock is the timing heartbeat of the switch. Its dedicated power supply and complete electrical isolation ensure it operates in an exceptionally quiet environment.
The WaveNET board is the main processing hub of the system, sitting at the heart of the signal path between the clock and the sensitive network transceivers. The CX regulator provides it with a clean, isolated power supply, helping to maintain a low-noise environment for critical signal reception and transmission.

WaveNET brings purpose-built audio engineering to the heart of the network switch.
Derived from our flagship NazaréNET, the WaveNET board is not adapted from conventional networking hardware. It is purpose-built for high-fidelity audio, designed in-house from the ground up.
Its ultra-low-noise philosophy governs every aspect of the design, from component selection to circuit layout. By addressing sources of electrical interference at the design level, WaveNET is engineered to maintain exceptional network signal integrity, going far beyond the requirements of conventional consumer and enterprise networking hardware.
This is where engineering meets listening — where careful attention to the smallest details is designed to translate into audible gains.
OCXO Clock
In digital audio, precision timing is fundamental to preserving signal integrity.
NET3 employs a proven, high-precision OCXO clock, powered by its own dedicated supply to provide an exceptionally stable, low-jitter timing reference.
Rather than relying on an external 10MHz reference clock, NET3 places its 25MHz, 3ppb OCXO directly adjacent to the switch chip itself. This avoids unnecessary PLL conversion stages and helps minimise jitter at the point where timing accuracy matters most.
Combined with further improvements to the power supply and chassis design, NET3 takes digital performance significantly further than our acclaimed first-generation network switch, PhoenixNET.
SFP Fibre Port
Fibre provides a simple way to break the electrical connection and isolate your audio network.
Alongside its four RJ45 ports, NET3 features an integrated SFP fibre connection, opening new possibilities for system configuration while providing a level of electrical isolation beyond conventional network connections.
By introducing fibre into the signal path, electrical continuity — and with it, a potential path for noise and interference — can be eliminated at critical points within the network. This helps create a cleaner, more controlled electrical environment for your audio system while maintaining network signal integrity.
Ultra-Low-Noise Operation & Sense Integration
Once configured, NET3 becomes effectively silent — both electrically and operationally.
Its custom firmware initialises the system before shutting down the onboard microprocessor completely, eliminating unnecessary processing activity and the associated electrical noise. The result is a network switch that performs its function without unnecessary activity during playback.
NET3 can also be optimised through the Sense app, allowing you to manage the operating speed of each individual port — and, with a future firmware update, disable unused ports altogether.
This is network infrastructure reduced to its purest form: nothing added, nothing disturbed.
Premium Chassis
A serious digital component deserves a chassis engineered to the same exacting standards as the electronics within.
Housed in a 10mm-thick, CNC-machined aluminium chassis, NET3 combines comprehensive vibration control with effective EMI shielding in an elegant, asymmetric design engineered to minimise standing-wave resonances.
The inclusion of a dedicated 4mm grounding terminal provides another option for managing unwanted electrical noise, potentially revealing even greater levels of detail.
The substantial, full-width enclosure is designed to perfectly complement our STREAM3 Music Streamer & Server, forming a comprehensive digital front-end stack. Its refined visual design and build quality also allow NET3 to integrate seamlessly with other high-end music streamers and further improve system performance.
