Lehmann Audio Black Cube Phono Stage

Lehmann audio has developed a completely new audio board for the legendary Black Cube phono stage.
When Norbert Lehmann, audio engineer and owner of Lehmann audio entered the market in summer 1995 with the Black Cube phono stage, no one could foresee the tremendous success of this rather plain looking product.
Audio magazines and thousands of customers worldwide appreciate the outstanding audio performance. The Black Cube has been recognized as a benchmark product in its price class and beyond. It received numerous awards and reached unrivalled customer satisfaction. Now there is a new Black Cube 2006! Norbert Lehmann has designed a totally new audio board. Experiences and customers wishes of the last ten years have contributed to the design. The new audio board version uses roughly the same circuitry. Parts have been improved substantially and some useful features have been added


Details:
- All MKS capacitors (passive RIAA-filter and output) are replaced by MKPs which have only a fraction of the loss inherent with MKS caps.
- New input stages, chosen for their plus of transparency and airiness.
- Chokes in the power supply lines of the audio section for even cleaner supply voltages
- Dual mono output stages
- With a High Gain jumper the Black Cube can be better optimized for mid-output MCs.
- The new, higher maximum gain of up to 66dB optimizes the handling of cartridges with a very low output level.
- An additional hard wire slot supplies even more possibilities for special impedances and custom loads.
- A soft Soft-Bass-Rolloff jumper (6dB/Oct. @ 60Hz) protects woofers.
- DC Jumper to bridge MKP output capacitors (caution: use only if the following input stage has a DC-Filter!)
- detachable power supply with Neutrik XLR connectors even at the BLack Cube standard for easier upgrade to the Black Cube SE without soldering
