A Living Control multi-room system is controlled by either a DisplayPad or a VideoPad in many instances. The alternative Smart RS provides full operation by means of a serial control interface.
The Smart RS is a dedicated RS232 interface, capable of two-way communication between a Living Control CPU and any interface capable of generating and receiving ASCII commands.
It allows all Living Control systems to be controlled by touch-screen controllers, such as those made by AMX and Crestron.
As ASCII commands can access and control all sources in all zones, any interface utilising the Smart RS can be given full control of a system from one location.
