The history of SpeakerCraft is a story of innovation, determination and a drive to provide technology that makes a difference in the lives of their customers. From its genesis over thirty years ago as a small retail storefront the company later began producing loudspeakers for motor homes. This led to SpeakerCraft creating the first in-wall speaker. The company became an OEM manufacturer for some of the largest names in the audio business. In 1994 SpeakerCraft released a series of custom installed loudspeakers under their own brand. The key to their success was in the selection of Jeremy Burkhardt, an enthusiastic young man who had cut his teeth on the retail floor and spent countless hours selling and installing audio systems. He not only forged alliances with the top dealers in the country but he was also a major force in new product development. Through his incredible energy and determination the products and support from SpeakerCraft set new standards in the industry.

For its modest size, the 5.2R is an accomplished performer.
It is ideal for multi-spot or smaller room applications. The polypropylene bass unit and dome tweeter work together to create an excellent speaker for use in both main and secondary environments. With an excellent off-axis response, the 5.2R is a good choice where both size and cost are important considerations.

Where the Aim series is designed to create a totally focussed soundstage, the 8" CRS models are designed to create an exceptional feeling of clear, ambient sound.
Most models within this range utilize SpeakerCraft’s exclusive WavePlane™ tweeter mounting, which aids high frequency dispersion and overall tonal balance.
Conventional in-ceiling speaker designs can sound muffled. The fundamental reason for this is that the output of the tweeter is ‘absorbed’ by the bass unit as the listener moves off-axis (away from directly underneath the speaker). The resultant sound is distinguished by a noticeable change in tonal balance as the listener moves away. The WavePlane is a unique open baffle design that allows the tweeter to work more independently, while the lower frequencies from the bass unit pass unhindered through the WavePlane grille.

The celebrated Aim in-ceiling speaker range established new standards for both sound quality and versatility. Within each Aim Series model, both the bass unit and tweeter could be independently pivoted by up to 30°, creating a soundstage of incredible focus and precision.
Similar in principle to Aim, the new TIME (Theatre In Motion Experience) series mounts flush with the ceiling. When activated however, the speakers automatically extend from the ceiling at angles 15, 30 and 45 degrees. They then rotate to any position to create the appropriate soundstage for the individual theatre application. Sonic performance is enhanced by the precision with which the speaker can be aimed at the listening area.
