Ruark Lightning Adapter Support

The introduction of the latest iPod, iPhone and iPad models with Apple’s new Lightning connector we know has caused anxiety with customers concerned about future compatibility. To rectify this we’ve developed a simple yet highly effective solution which we’ve codenamed LAS (Lightning Adaptor Support). LAS combines and integrates with Apple’s own Lightning to 30-pin adaptor and the iPod dock on our R2i and R4i models, allowing new Apple products with Lightning connector to function in exactly the same way as earlier iPod/iPhone models with the original connector. The beauty of this simple conversion is that iPod/iPhone models old and new can be used alongside each other and with millions of these devices already in use, we feel that such flexibility will be important to many customers for some time to come. Our support will also work with many other products that also feature Apple's Universal Dock .

Ruark Audio MR1 Active Bluetooth Speakers

Ruark Audio believe that great sound should be available to everyone (not just hi-fi enthusiasts) and the aim with their new MR1 Bluetooth Speaker System was to create compact speakers, capable of giving high quality sound in multiple applications. As speakers for computer systems they’re ideal, but they are also equally at home as speakers to dramatically improve the sound of flat panel TVs and as extension speakers for our own R2i/R4i models and other systems. Even alone they are capable of providing the basis of a complete music system (just connect a Turntable or CD player) and with Bluetooth and apt-X built-in, audio can be streamed and played wirelessly through MR1s with CD like sound.

The Crusader Returns
Responding to the demands of their customers Ruark have recently introduced Mk III versions of the Sabre and Talisman Models and it is with great delight that they announced the third model to their Heritage Series, Crusader III.
The original Crusader became highly regarded for producing a scale of sound that belied its modest dimensions but by using new and improved driver technologies and construction techniques for Crusader III Ruark have produced a high-fidelity speaker which they feel is truly remarkable. Being a true three-way design each drive-unit has been developed to excel in its given frequency range. The upper frequencies are handled by a highly evolved ribbon tweeter where the low mass of the aluminium ribbon allows an extended frequency response and natural reproduction of harmonics. Likewise the 75mm dome has the right attributes to provide exceptional dispersion and performance through the mid-band frequencies. Bass frequencies are handled by a highly specified 180mm unit that provides exceptional control and extension. All the units are housed in cabinets that have been partitioned and optimised for acoustic performance whilst also providing elegant design and construction quality that Ruark have become renowned for.
