LCD screens plus CFL (low energy) bulbs are also often the cause of IR interference and may cause intermittent problems or prevent operation completely. If you have no plasma in the area then the 480-85 is the model to be used for faultless operation. (The plasma unit will also work but is a price point higher). The carrier frequency can be adjusted on these units to 'tune' them to that most suitable in your installation. >50' nominal reception range.

Plasma displays can cause havoc with IR signals due to the IR light they emit, combine this with other problems in an area, CFL lights, sunlight, and you may have a very intermittent or no IR coverage at all. In this instance the 48095 should be used. The front lens assembly is designed to eliminate interfering IR radiation, coupled with the superior electronics design they are essential items in plasma installations. >50' nominal reception range.

Xantech 490-00 Micro Link™ IR Receiver

Another miniature IR receiver that features surface mount technology. The 490 has its electronics housed in a brass cylinder. The “business end” of the unit is a small round lens. This small receiver is designed to be placed in very tiny spaces. One example is a corner of an equipment cabinet. A single, 1/2-inch hole will accommodate the 490. The high sensitivity of this receiver gives you the ability to place the 490 further away from the hand held remote, increasing the placement options you have.

Miniature IR receiver that features surface mount technology. The 480 Dinky Link was originally developed in response to requests from many of our custom installers for a small, inconspicuous receiver. It was designed for placement in very tiny spaces. One example is between the grille and baffle board of an in-wall speaker. The high sensitivity of this receiver gives you the ability to place the 480 behind a grille and still receive the IR commands up to 20 feet away.

Xantech 283D Visible Blink-IR Designer Emitter

This series of mini emitters contain a tiny infrared light emitting diode housed in a miniature, almost black, injection molded plastic shell. These versatile units can be used in a number of innovative ways.
They are designed to be installed directly on the IR control window of the controlled equipment. The almost black shell passes infrared (IR) leaving access to the original remote controller while at the same time making the most unobtrusive installation possible.
