It all started with a question. Why doesn’t anyone make wireless loudspeakers that actually work? This was the spark that ignited a two year research and development effort and ultimately the formation of Soundcast Systems in 2004. It quickly became obvious that to really solve the problem, and deliver robust, high performance wireless audio products, advanced technologies would need to be developed. It was not possible to just re-package existing platforms or make incremental improvements to what existed. Soundcast went about assembling a team of really brilliant engineers and presented them with a challenge. Develop the technology for wireless delivery of audio at a quality that could not be discerned from a system that is wired. After two and a half years of extensive development, testing, the results are evident. In 2006 they introduced the world to Soundcast and their first product, iCast. It was deemed an immediate success.
