Aim-able In-Ceiling. Pivoting 7" Kevlar Bass And 1" Aluminium Tweeter.SpeakerCraft was the first company to introduce a pivoting speaker. Its reference AIM 8 series in-ceiling speakers are regarded by many as the finest of their kind available.
From the AIM 8 series are derived the new AIM 7 models, establishing a new standard for compact in-ceiling speakers.
Each model can be entirely pivoted towards the listener while remaining discreetly recessed behind a flush-mounted grille. If listening-position or tastes change, the speaker can be aimed in another direction with a simple push of the hand.
Several manufacturers offer pivoting tweeter designs, but their effect is ultimately limited by a narrow range of adjustment. Within each AIM 7 series model, both the bass unit and the tweeter can be independently pivoted by up to 30°, creating a soundstage of incredible focus and precision.
In designing the AIM 7 series, each model had to fit into the same cut-out as the existing CRS 6 range but utilise a larger 7” drive unit. The use of a larger 7” bass driver gives the AIM 7 series exceptional dynamic range and low end control. Each model is tonally matched to its SpeakerCraft in-ceiling or in-wall counterparts, providing the ability to create a seamless soundstage from a SpeakerCraft multi-range, multi-channel system.
All AIM 7 models offer newly designed pivoting bass units, pivoting tweeter mountings and a revised WavePlane™ tweeter profile, further aiding the speakers’ phenomenal dispersion characteristics. The AIM7 Five, Four, and Three each provide independent bass and treble controls, allowing the in-room tailoring of each speaker. The AIM7 Two allows high frequency tailoring.
