Full Range Multi-Driver In-Wall Speaker. Kevlar / Aluminium DriversThe design brief for the AIM Cinema Monitor was to create a full range in-wall speaker having great accuracy combined with the ability to handle higher sound pressure levels.
All models utilise the equivalent of an AIM LCR array on a pivoting sub-baffle for the mid-bass, mid-range and high frequencies. Situated beneath are two high performance 6-inch paper/Kevlar bass drivers on a fixed baffle. This approach increases both sound output and low frequency extension.
The AIM Cinema Five employs a sophisticated driver array capable of reproducing frequencies as low as 35Hz.
Midrange and mid-bass are handled by two 5” pivoting Kevlar drivers, while a 1” pivoting aluminium dome tweeter handles all high frequency information.
The AIM Cinema Three is a powerful performer with a low frequency response extending down to 39Hz. Midrange and mid-bass are handled by two 5” pivoting aluminium drivers, while a 1” pivoting aluminium dome tweeter handles all high frequency information.
Both AIM Cinema Five and Three models incorporate in-room tailoring controls. A +/- 3db treble adjustment provides high frequency compensation while +/- 3db mid and +/- 3db bass controls allow the mid and lower frequencies of each speaker to be more precisely matched to its surroundings.
The entry level model, AIM Cinema One, utilises the same bass drivers as the higher models and is capable of reproducing frequencies down to 40Hz. Midrange and mid-bass are handled by two 5” pivoting polypropylene drivers, while a 1” pivoting silk dome tweeter handles all high frequency information.
