In response to requests from the field, SpeakerCraft has taken the technology from the award-winning Custom Round Series of in-ceiling speakers and has created the CSS6 line of square ceiling speakers, which further widens the choice of aesthetic options for designers and customers alike.
The CSS6 Three features a 6” woofer and co-axially mounted tweeter and is identical in this regard to its round counterpart in the CRS series.
As with the CRS series, the CSS6 Three features the innovative WavePlane™ technology. The WavePlane enhances the speaker’s dispersion pattern, dramatically improving clarity and detail. This allows the CSS6 Three to sound far better off-axis than any other square speaker available.
The tweeter in the CSS6 Three pivots, so you can direct the high frequencies toward the listening area. When used as a rear channel speaker in a home theatre configuration, the tweeter can be directed away from the listener, giving surround sound the critical degree of diffusion it needs.
