Clearaudio Maestro V2 phono cartridge is the flagship model in Clearaudio's optimised and improved series of moving magnet (MM) cartridges. Maestro V2 is the replacement and improvement upon the already excellent original Clearaudio Maestro and sits above the entry level Clearaudio Performer V2, Clearaudio Artist V2 and Clearaudio Virtuoso V2 models in the current MM range.
Maestro V2 is part of the new range of moving magnet cartridges from Clearaudio that set new standards in technical performance, improving on both impedance, inductance, load capacitance and sensitivity. These improvements have come from ongoing and intensive research, development and analysis in Clearaudio's own laboratory. Distortion has been reduced to almost vanishing levels, there is near perfect balance of the stereo channels and output levels have been increased with a flat frequency response.
These technical advances have created a cartridge that gives a vivid and enthralling musical performance. In addition, in contrast to the other 3 models in the V2 range which feature an aluminium cantilever, the cantilever on the Maestro V2 is Boron with an HD Diamond for ever greater clarity.
