The power supply is integrated inside the massive aluminium chassis, and is made of 4 toroidal transformers and 10 independent regulation lines. The D/A board is independent of the main board allowing DSC1 to accept future upgrades.

DSC1 is the first model of Métronome’s new «DIGITAL
SHARING» product range. DS stands for connected
devices integrating DLNA and Airplay compatibility. You
can play your music on a fantastic D/A converter and
stream from the internet or your local network.
But DSC1 is above all a converter from Métronome, with
this legendary analog sound reproduction, resulting of a
30 years experience in digital high-end audio.
Inside the box, two AK4497 D/A converters are fixed on
independent PCB plugged on the main board, allowing
potential upgrades.
The analog stage receives four
operational amplifiers, and the power supply performs
individual power transformers and independent regulation
lines for each critical part of the converter providing
inter-stage EMI/RFI radiation protection for the best
sound quality.
DSC1 is so versatile that you may use it either like a
classic D/A converter, with S/P DIF, AES-EBU, Optical
or USB inputs, or like a network player. Enjoy all music
formats up to DSD x8 (DSD512).
DSC1 is available in black and silver finishings.
